State police have not released the name of the suspect accused of walking away from a construction job with a customer’s money.
It happened in White Township. Police say a 51-year-old woman who lives along McKnight Road reported that she and a 46-year-old Blairsville man had entered into a written contract for the construction of a garage, but before completing the work, the suspect closed his construction business and did not repay the money to the victim. Police do not say how much money was involved.
Other police reports today include a burglary in Green Township. A thief stole $168 worth of jewelry from a home along Route 580. It happened between last Tuesday and Thursday. The victim is a 24-year-old Cherry Tree woman.
A 51-year-old Indiana man is charged with harassment for pushing a 33-year-old woman into some furniture during a domestic dispute last Thursday. State police say it happened at an apartment along Elkin Avenue if White Township. Neither the suspect nor the victim has been publicly identified.
