The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported today that the number of people who tested positive for Covid-19 in Indiana County again remained unchanged in the last 24 hours. A total of 76 people have tested positive for Covid-19 since record keeping began. The number of deaths attributed to the virus in the county remained at five.
Indiana – the 15701 zip code – has the most positive cases with 23, with 103 negatives. The county has 22 ventilators. None are in use.
Among neighboring counties, Westmoreland reports the most positive cases, with one reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 419, and deaths remained at 30. Armstrong County’s total of positive cases stayed at 55 and deaths at five. Jefferson County stayed at seven positive cases. Cambria County remained at 44, with deaths at one.
The number of positive cases in Pennsylvania reached 57,991, an increase of 837 from Monday. The 26 to 49 year old age group has the most positive cases with 37 percent of the 57,991 cases. Reported deaths in Pennsylvania attributed to confirmed cases stand at 3,806, an increase of 75 in the last 24 hours.
These positive tested totals reflect how many people have tested positive since the Department of Health started recording and not how many people are currently ill.
While 57,991 have tested positive in the state, 237,989 have tested negative. In Indiana County, have 907 tested negative.
