While the high school sports season was cancelled due to the coronavirus crisis, the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League is hoping to complete their playoffs, which have been in a holding pattern since the closure of schools due to the pandemic.
The Trib reports that League Commissioner John Mucha said on Friday that six varsity playoff games, including five Penguin Cup games and the Class B final are left to be played and they want to see those games played out at some point. With high schools being permitted to start workouts July 1st, they may have to work out some arrangements so that seniors on the teams can still play as it may affect their eligibility.
One of those games had Indiana taking on Thomas Jefferson in the class A finals.
