Today, the Oldies Attic celebrates its 31st anniversary on the air.
Bill Otto created the oldies attic this week in 1989, and since then, Otto has hosted the three hour music show dedicated to the music from the 50s through now the early 80s. Otto said that one of the highlights of the last year was interviewing local musicians who were in local groups that performed at places like the Red Rooster back in the day.
Otto has occasionally interviewed legends in the industry and he said that over the 1612 shows, he has played 67,704 songs in the 31 years.
You can hear the show today from 9 to noon on WCCS.
