The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported today that the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Indiana County again did not change in the 24-hour reporting period. The number reached 75 on Wednesday and remains at 75, while the number of deaths attributed to the virus in the county remained at five.
Indiana – the 15701 zip code – has the most positive cases with 23, with 90 negatives. In the county, 22 ventilators are available. None are in use.
Among neighboring counties, Westmoreland reports the most positive cases, with two reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 413, and deaths increased by one to 30. Armstrong County’s total of positive cases stayed at 55, with deaths at three, while Jefferson County stayed at seven positive cases. Cambria County increased by three cases to 40, with deaths at one.
The number of positive cases in Pennsylvania reached 54,238, an increase of 1,323 from Thursday. The 26 to 49 year old age group has the most positive cases with 37 percent of the 54,238 cases. Reported deaths in Pennsylvania attributed to confirmed cases increased by 200 to 3,616.
These positive tested totals reflect how many people have tested positive since the Department of Health started recording and not how many people are currently ill.
While 54,238 have tested positive in the state, 216,231 have tested negative. In Indiana County, have 860 tested negative.
