Three people were injured in a crash on Route 22 in Burrell Township.
State Police say the crash happened at 10:06 in the morning on Friday. John Sommers, a 52-year-old Irwin man, was driving his pickup truck east on 22, while William Mack, an 80-year-old Armagh man, was driving his car south on Corporate Campus Drive. Mack was crossing Route 22 to get to Resort Plaza Drive when Sommers ran the red light, according to police, and crashed into Mack’s car.
Both cars had moderate damage. Sommers, Mack and Mack’s passenger, 75-year-old Goldie Mack, were injured in the crash and taken to IRMC for treatment.
Sommers will be cited for failure to obey traffic control signals.
