The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported today that the number of positive cases in Pennsylvania reached 50,092, an increase of 825 from Sunday. The 26 to 49 year old age group has the most positive cases with 38 percent of the 50,092 cases. But reported deaths in Pennsylvania attributed to confirmed cases increased by just 14 to 2,458.
The state also reported that the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Indiana County increased one to 70, while the number of Indiana County deaths attributed to Covid-19 stayed at four. It’s important to note that the number of reported positive cases does not reflect how many people have recovered, as that number is not available.
In Indiana County, Indiana – the 15701 zip code – has the most positive cases with 21. In the county, 22 ventilators are available. None are in use.
Among neighboring counties, Westmoreland reports the most positive cases, with two reported in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 403 and deaths remained at 26. Armstrong County’s total of positive cases held at 52, with two deaths, while Jefferson County has six positive cases and Cambria County increased by one to 34, with deaths adjusted from three to one.
While 50,092 have tested positive in the state, 195,498 have tested negative. In Indiana County, 773 have tested negative.
