WHITE TOWNSHIP
One person suffered minor injuries yesterday afternoon in a collision at the intersection of Indian Springs Road and Oakland Avenue in White Township.
State police say an SUV driven by 59-year-old Fred Bavone of Homer City ran a red light and collided with a pickup operated by 30-year-old Tanner Dishing of Commodore. Dishing was injured but did not require hospitalization.
CLYMER BOROUGH
State police have also issued a report on an accident Saturday afternoon in Clymer.
A tractor trailer driven by James Woolery of Irvine, Kentucky was turning left from Walcott Street onto South 6th Street when the trailer of his rig hit a tree branch hanging over the road and tore a large hole in the sheet metal of the trailer. Clymer firefighters did a temporary fix to enable the truck to get moving again and it was driven to the fire department parking lot to await repairs.
PINE TOWNSHIP
A Penn Run man is facing a driving under the influence charge after an accident last Thursday afternoon in the area of Laurel Run Road and Spruce Grove Road in Pine Township.
Police do not provide details of the accident, which involved a van driven by the 60-year-old man. He was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for a blood test. Charges are pending the results
