No one was injured when a car collided with a utility pole in West Wheatfield Township. State Police say the crash happened on Wednesday at 7:08 PM on Route 259 just south of Coal Road. 19-year-old Aleesha Spaid of Blairsville lost control of her car and hit a utility pole on the side of the road. The car had to be towed, but Spaid escaped injury. Spaid will face a charge of not driving on roads laned for traffic.
A 22-year-old Indiana woman was charged with simple assault for an incident on Veteran’s day in White Township. State Police Say a 22-year-old Indiana woman punched another woman in the face multiple times causing visible injuries. This was at 11:30 PM at a home on Bayberry Circle.
State Police are investigating a case of identity theft in White Township from late October. In this case, someone used the information from a 64-year-old Indiana Man to open an unauthorized Wal-Mart credit card in their name.
State police are also investigating a theft in Young Township from late October. The theft happened on October 28th but Police are reporting on it now. Troopers say that someone stole a black iPhone 7 from a home on Route 286 in Young Township.
