The 28th annual Oldies Attic Turkeython was a big success on Saturday.
The final total from Saturday’s three-hour Turkeython broadcast was $46,007. That money goes directly to the United Way of Indiana County, and has been matched by several Indiana County grocers in the form of turkeys and food cards that will go to The Salvation Army, ICCAP, The Chevy Chase Community Center, several homeless veterans groups and the Dixonville Community Kitchen.
The Turkeython received a lot of help from members of the Indiana County Quota Club as they collected money from people driving along Philadelphia Street, and members of the United Way taking phone calls during the Oldies Attic broadcast.
