Penelec’s quarterly rate adjustment to the “price to compare” for electricity customers is set to decrease slightly on March 1st, which is Wednesday. The price for residential customers will fall from 9.889 cents per kilowatt hour to 9.568 cents, a change of about 3.24 percent.

Rates for Penelec’s commercial customers will drop about fourteen percent for the new quarter.
