After completing the most successful decade in the history of IUP women’s basketball, the IUP sports information office, coaching staff and basketball media have selected the 2010s All-Decade Team, and named guard Carolyn Appleby the IUP Women’s Basketball Player of the Decade.
Appleby finished her career with a flourish, earning a 2019 All-American designation. She’s the program’s second all-time leading scorer with 1,723 points.
Appleby is joined on the first team by guards Lindsey Stamp and Lauren Wolosik and forwards Megan Smith and Brittany Robinson.
The second team includes former Indiana High stars Leslie Stapleton and Marita Mathe, both guards, and forwards Sarah Pastorek, Lexi Griggs, and Ashley Stoner.
IUP led the PSAC in the 2010s with 241 wins, with four PSAC West regular season titles and two conference tournament championships. It also led the Division Two Atlantic Region with two titles and had two national semifinal appearances. The program’s .793 win percentage was eighth-highest in Division Two.

Megan Smith (2014-18)
Second team All-Atlantic Region in 2018 … Two-time All-PSAC West … Fifth at IUP with 1,483 career points, second with 40.2 3-point percentage, fourth with 138 blocks … Helped lead IUP to first ever national semifinal appearance in 2018 … Atlantic Region All-Tournament Team in 2018.
Lauren Wolosik (2015-19)
Three-time All-PSAC West selection … 530 career assists more than any other player in IUP history … Posted IUP single season record 175 assists twice (2017-18, 2018-19) … Helped lead IUP to back-to-back national semifinal berths … Finished career with 1,277 points, 165 3-pointers made and 253 steals.
Brittany Robinson (2015-19)
Second team All-PSAC West as a senior … IUP’s all-time leader with 190 blocks and 56.9 field goal percentage … Helped lead IUP to back-to-back national semifinal berths … 2019 Atlantic Region Tournament MVP … 1,104 career points.

Leslie Stapleton (2011-16)
First team All-PSAC West in 2016 … IUP leader with 218 3-pointers made and 88.5 free throw percentage … Second in Division II in 2015-16 with 93.3 free throw percentage … Had 1,304 points and 38.7 3-point percentage.
Sarah Pastorek (2009-13)
Three-time All-PSAC West … Graduated seventh at IUP in career points with 1,311 … Fourth in program history with 337 made free throws, 10th with 641 rebounds.
Lexi Griggs (2016-20)
2020 PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Year and first team All-PSAC West … Helped IUP to back-to-back national semifinal berths, and No. 1 seed in Atlantic Region in 2020 … 54.8 career field goal percentage is fourth at IUP … 894 points and 477 rebounds.
Ashley Stoner (2011-15)
Second team All-PSAC West in 2015 … Second at IUP with 82.3 career free throw percentage, eighth with 52.2 field goal percentage … 1,144 career points.
