Days after they announced a strike that’s scheduled to start Monday, members with the Penns Manor Education Association announced that negotiation talks between them and the Penns Manor School District will continue this weekend.
In a Facebook post, the Association announced that an additional bargaining session will be held tomorrow and that they look forward to entering the session. The session is scheduled to start at 1:00 this afternoon. Both sides have said that they are willing to meet each day to negotiate to prevent a strike that would start February 27th and reach a settlement.
If the strike does go on, Penns Manor officials say they will cancel classes consistent with the days that the teacher’s strike is ongoing. Parents will be sent a Sapphire Notification each day classes are cancelled, and that notice will also be sent to the district’s website and Your Hometown Radio Station will also inform you if classes are cancelled due to the strike.
