Today on Your Hometown Radio Station, an annual effort gets underway to help many different agencies in Indiana County.
Bill Otto, host of the Oldies Attic, will host the annual Turkey-Thon on his show today. Once a year, Otto turns the attic over to help out several different groups, including the United Way of Indiana County. Otto said that the money donated to the United Way will help people get food on the table for the holidays. The money stays with the United Way, but local grocers are teaming up to match the donations with turkeys and food cards to go to ICCAP, the Salvation Army, Chevy Chase Community Center and homeless veterans organizations.
This marks the 28th year for the Oldies Attic Turkey-thon, which will start at 9:00 and run until noon. If you want to make a donation to the Turkey-Thon, call 724-479-1160 or 724-349-WCCS during the Oldies Attic today.
