The River Valley School Board is scheduled to meet tonight and on the proposed agenda are several financial and personnel items.
One item up for approval is the 2023-24 ARIN Intermediate Unit budget which, for River Valley, would come out to $3,414,949, an increase of $91,062. The biggest increase, in terms of dollar difference, comes from the Instructional Materials Service Program, which holds a difference of $39,346.
Also up for approval is the LERTA Resolution concerning the Blairsville Borough Tax Abatement for 2023. This would establish a real estate tax abatement schedule for rehabilitation of commercial property in designated areas of Blairsville Borough in accordance to the improvement of deteriorating real property or Areas Tax Exemption act.
