With recent postseason high school honors being announced, IUP women’s basketball Coach Tom McConnell is adding two all-state players.
Gina Adams, a 5-11 guard from Westlake High School in Westlake, Ohio, was selected to the Division I All-Ohio second team after averaging 15.8 points per game this season for her conference and district champion team. She was the Southwestern Conference MVP and was selected for the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches All-Star Game.
Donegal High School guard Kiera Baughman, from Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, has been named to the 5-A All-State second team. She was Lancaster-Lebanon League Section Four MVP and an all-defensive team honoree this season, finishing her high school career with 1,777 points.
IUP is coming off back-to-back regional titles and 88 wins over the last three seasons. The Crimson Hawks will lose seniors Lexi Griggs and Natalie Myers next year.
