Police have busted a drug dealing enterprise operating out of an East Mahoning Township home, taking three people into custody.
In an investigation just started this month, undercover state troopers from the Troop A Vice unit based in Greensburg have made narcotics purchases from a home at 666 Richmond Road. On Tuesday afternoon, police watched as 33-year-old Krista Penrose of Marion Center left the home with two 21-year-old McKeesport men, Scott Hughes and Asaan Zyhier. The three drove to Indiana, where the troopers had alerted Indiana Borough police, who assisted with a traffic stop. Inside the vehicle, they found approximately 103 bags of suspected heroin, 41 individual wrapped baggies of suspected crack cocaine, and suspected marijuana.
All three suspects were arraigned before District Judge Jennifer Rega and are in the Indiana County Jail, with each of them charged with four felonies – two counts of drug delivery, and single counts of conspiracy and criminal use of a communication facility – plus misdemeanor possession. Bond for each is set at $75,000.
