Aside from the slew of brush fires, Sunday was a relatively quiet day for Indiana County first responders.
Cherry Tree Fire Department was dispatched to set up a landing zone along South Main Street in Cherry Tree Borough around 2:01 p.m.
Then, two automatic fire alarms were reported in the evening hours. At 7:57 p.m., Indiana Fire Association companies one and two were dispatched to Pratt Drive in White Township for the first alarm. Details on that incident are not available at this time.
Black Lick and Blairsville fire crews responded to the second alarm, which was reported along Innovation Drive in Burrell Township. Black Lick fire officials said in a Facebook post that crews responded to a fire and burglar alarm, but crews found nothing while on scene and the building’s alarm panel was reset.
