State police released details on two crashes that happened at the Dunkin Donuts in White Township.
The first crash happened around 9:38 a.m. January 9th in the store parking lot. Troopers say a white Dodge Ram pick-up truck attempted to back out of a parking spot but hit a car, driven by Paul Andy Zolocsik, and fled the scene without leaving any information.
In an interview with state police, Zolocsik said he was approached by a witness, revealed as Timothy Smeltzer, who said someone hit his truck while it was parked. He showed Zolocsik a picture of the vehicle bearing a PA registration of ZPB-1584. A search revealed the vehicle was registered to Heartland Restaurant Group, the corporate company associated with Dunkin Donuts.
Zolocsik also told troopers he attempted to call the store 10 times between January 9 and January 20, but no one answered and the voicemail was full. He did get ahold of a Heartland Restaurant Group Employee on January 20 around 9 a.m., and they told him to send correspondence by email with Pennsylvania State Police letterhead requesting driver and insurance information. That was sent later in the morning.
The second crash happened January 31st around 3:10 p.m. just outside of the store parking lot.
Troopers say a car, driven by 18-year-old Nicole Pisarski of Portage, attempted to turn left onto Rose Street but was struck by a car, driven by 20-year-old Kierra Brady of Philadelphia.
Pisarski alleged that she was waved on by another driver after traffic was stopped due to the light at the Oakland Avenue intersection, but when she came across both lanes, she struck Brady’s car in the 2 o’clock position.
Pisarski and her passenger, 18-year-old Alexandra Weber-Gump of Honesdale, were uninjured. Brady was also uninjured.
