Police in Blairsville Borough are charging an area woman with drug-related crimes after she was found inside the Sheetz on East Market Street last night. According to a news release, 32-year-old Kaitlyn Flickinger of Blairsville was seen by police in the store. Police were then notified that there were warrants out for her arrest from Cambria County. When they took her into custody, officers found 53 stamp bags, 2.58 grams of meth along with drug paraphernalia. She was placed in Indiana County Jail on a felony warrant from Cambria County, along with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of drug paraphernalia possession. Charges will be filed with district judge Robert Bell’s office.
Another person wanted out of Cambria County was picked up by Blairsville police yesterday. Officers conducted a traffic stop at 8:30 PM near the Sheetz Parking Lot on East Main Street and found that not only was the driver of the car, 32-year-old Eric Piker of Johnstown, was driving on a suspended license, he also was wanted on felony warrants in Cambria County. He too is in Indiana County jail on the warrant detainer and charges of driving without a license and driving on a suspended license.
Chief Lou Sacco said that these cases are not connected with each other.
