The number of brush fires for 2023 is now up to 10 with five brush fires reported yesterday.
Along with a brush fire reported earlier in the day at 10:45 AM in Clymer Borough, first responders from the Iselin and West Lebanon fire departments were called to Upper Mateer Road in Westmoreland County at 12:45 PM.
At 2:33 PM, a brush fire was reported on Marshall Road in East Mahoning Township. Marion Center and Plumville fire departments were dispatched to the scene near East Mahoning Creek Road. Plumville and Perry Township fire departments were called out for at 3:05 PM yesterday for a brush fire on Route 210 in North Mahoning Township, and one minute later, Plumville and Marion Center firefighters were called out again for another brush fire in East Mahoning Township.
No word on the exact causes of these fires or how much damage was done.
