CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP
Police reports are coming in on a number of accidents over the weekend, including one early yesterday that injured two Apollo men in Conemaugh Township.
State police say a pickup driven by 23-year-old Joseph Dull missed a curve and left Nowrytown Road near Skyline Drive, slamming into a tree. Dull and his passenger, 24-year-old Nathan Christopher, were flown from the scene by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.
WHITE TOWNSHIP
25-year-old Joshua Freeman of Indiana suffered facial lacerations, and police say he could be charged with driving under the influence after a crash on Airport Road in White Township shortly after two o’clock yesterday morning. Freeman’s car took out a bunch of mailboxes near the Jimmy Stewart Airport, with a whole row of them becoming embedded in his windshield. Still, he continued on, driving onto Spearman Road before police stopped him. He was taken by ambulance to the Indiana Regional Medical Center. The DUI charges are pending the results of blood tests, and police say anyone whose mailbox was damaged should call 357-1960.

72-year-old Ruth Sarokan of Indiana escaped injury yesterday afternoon when her vehicle left Route 422 in White Township, striking an embankment in the highway’s median.
