After a quiet day, Saturday evening turned quite busy for Indiana County’s emergency responders.
The Armagh and Seward fire companies were called for traffic control on Route 56 in East Wheatfield Township at 5:20 PM, and the Saltsburg, Tunnelton, and Blairsville fire departments were added to the call 20 minutes later. There has been no information released on the incident.
Armagh firefighters were then dispatched at 5:51 PM for an accident nearby on Power Plant Road. And later, at 8:23 PM, they were sent to investigate smoke at a location along Route 711 in Saint Clair Township, Westmoreland County.
Black Lick and Blairsville firefighters were summoned for a vehicle fire along Chestnut Ridge Road in Burrell Township at about 3 o’clock this morning.
