In his weekly video message to students and the IUP community, Dr. Michael Driscoll highlighted points on a virtual recognition for graduating seniors.
Driscoll said that they are looking to do the virtual recognition on their websites on top of an actual graduation ceremony, which is still being planned. Driscoll said that the IUP community are being asked to take part in a unique way.
On March 30th, IUP decided to postpone the May commencement ceremonies due to concerns over Covid-19. Students will be invited to take part in commencement sometime in the fall. The options that the university is considering are having the students take part in the fall graduation ceremonies, or have their own ceremonies during the semester. Students have been sent invitations with directions on how to take part.
