Today is of course Veterans Day, and citizens across the nation are paying their respects to those who served in our armed forces. In Indiana, the traditional parade was held on Philadelphia Street, with many marching units and military vehicles going past the reviewing stand where several Indiana County Veterans stood.
Among them was State Senator Don White, who said that Indiana never forgets to pay tribute to its veterans.
One of the features of the parade was Jimmy Stewart’s personal Cessna airplane that he owned in the 1960’s. Stewart was an avid aviator and served in the Army Air Corps, that would eventually become the US Air Force, during World War 2.
But today’s focus was on the veterans…As Indiana said Thank you to all who served and are serving.
