The IUP Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education has announced the 2020 recipient of the Ronald Lunardini Distinguished Alumni award.
In a news release, the department announced that William “Bill” Mandicott will receive the award. Mandicott was a 1977 graduate of the department, then called the Student Personnel Services and Conselor Education. Since then, he has gone on to work for over 30 years at Frostburg State University in Maryland. He currently serves as the university’s assistant vice president of Student and Community Involvement.
The award selection committee said Mandicott exceeded their award criteria, specifically in the areas of mentorship, promoting student success, and fostering an inclusive campus. The award will be presented to Mandicott at a future SAHE event.
