IUP Athletics has announced that six tennis players and all three doubles pairings are in the the Atlantic Region Intercollegiate Tennis Association women’s rankings.
Freshman Joanna Stralka is ranked number two in the region. Senior Katya Minchenkova is #10, sophomore Idoia Huerta is #14, and sophomore Thais Andreotti is #18.
IUP is the only program to have all three doubles teams in the Top Ten. Minchenkova and Huerta are #4. Senior Mariana Valenzuela and Stralka are #7, and junior Maria Magraner and Andreotti are #8.
Three IUP golfers have been named to the 2020 Division II PING All-Atlantic Region team. That’s the most of any golf program in the region. Senior Jeremy Eckenrode and sophomore Jack Buccigross each earned their second all-region honors, and they’re joined by freshman Shaun Fedor.
It’s the thirteenth straight year that IUP has a golfer on the all-region team, and the eighth time at least three Crimson Hawks have made it.
