One person was injured in a crash on Route 403 in East Wheatfield Township near Route 711 at the start of November.
Police say that 71-year-old Emerson Nicklow of Homer City was driving north on 403 while 68-year-old Barbara Eritano, also of Homer City, was going south. Nicklow had hit the brakes to avoid rear-ending a car that had stopped to make a left turn to Route 711, but lost control of his car. The car crossed into the southbound lane and hit Eritano’s car head-on. Both cars had moderate to severe front-end damage and both cars had to be towed.
Eritano was taken to Memorial Medical Center for treatment of suspected minor injuries. Neither Nicklow, nor Eritano’s passenger, 35-year-old Eric Eritano were injured in the crash. Nicklow will be cited for speeding.
