In Indiana County Court today, two hearings are scheduled for a Cambria County man charged in criminal cases from a decade ago.
57-year-old William Paul Davis Jr. of Johnstown is charged with two felony counts of arson and felony reckless burning or exploding in a case dating to June 10th of 2010. He’s also charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver and a single count of possession of a controlled substance in a case dating to May of that year.
The charges were filed on February 9th of 2011. The arson case was filed by now-retired state police fire marshal Timothy Frew. The drug case was filed by Cherry Tree Police.
Davis was sentenced to three to seven years in prison and ordered to pay $50,000 restitution plus costs in the arson case. In the drug case, he was ordered to serve two-and-a-half to five years in prison plus fines and restitution.
Today’s hearings are for non-payment of his obligations.
