Friday night’s girls finals are set on The Road to the KCAC, Presented by First Commonwealth Bank, with wins by the two Heritage Conference West representatives in last night’s semifinals.
West first place team River Valley dominated Portage while West runnerup Homer-Center nipped Penns Manor. Todd Marino recaps a thriller at Penns Manor.
River Valley has met all challengers so far this season in the Heritage Conference. The Panthers swept away Portage last night. Jake Slebodnick has the story.

Tonight, The Road to the KCAC winds through United and Portage with the boys semifinals. At United, the 19-2 West winning Lions take on Cambria Heights, which comes into the game at 10-10. United beat the Highlanders in their only meeting this season, 56-40 on December 14th.
Heritage East winner Portage, at 20-1, will mix it up with West runnerup River Valley, which is 12-9. The Mustangs beat the Panthers in their only meeting so far this season, 84-37 on December 16th.
The games tip off at 7. Pregames air at 6:45 for United/Cambria Heights on 92.5 FM U92 and for River Valley/Portage on Cat Country 106.3 FM, and both games will also be streamed at each station’s website.
