On Monday, the Center Township Supervisors approved a new tobacco policy for its employees.
The policy prohibits tobacco use for township employees while working, including smokeless tobacco or vaping products. Supervisors president Matt Housholder said that officials got tired of seeing tobacco waste on township property.
In other business, Tony Maggio representing Homer-Center Parks and Recreation made a brief presentation saying that they were considering improvements to Lucerne Park. Maggio talks about some of the things they are considering.
Finally, the supervisors approved Rogel Electric taking over traffic signal maintenance and repair services. Rogel recently purchased Anderson Electric, who had been approved at the reorganization meeting as the maintenance company of record.
