Indiana Borough’s police department is continuing to operate amid the Coronavirus outbreak.
Normally when IUP goes on Spring Break, there’s usually a rash of thefts from the empty off-campus apartments as the students are away, but Indiana Borough Police Chief Justin Schawl said that there was not that many thefts this year amid the concerns over Covid-19.
Chief Justin Schawl talked about what the public can expect from the police during this time of Covid-19.
He said that when social distancing can’t be used during a call, they are being asked to wear masks, and they will continue to adhere to behaviors that will keep everyone safe.
