Clymer Borough Police report two criminal investigations today, one a burglary and the other involving possible drug charges after a traffic stop.
Police say someone burglarized a vacant house in the 200 block of Jefferson Street, vandalized it, and stole some appliances. The break-in was reported yesterday afternoon. A dishwasher, stove, and the electrical panel were stolen. The burglar also damaged the plumbing, electrical wiring, and drywall, and wrote graffiti on the walls. The total damage was reported at $7,000.
In the other incident, Clymer Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on March 30th and ended up with three criminal suspects. Police say one of the occupants of the vehicle had a handgun but no license to carry one. They also seized drug paraphernalia related to the sale of methamphetamine and more than one-thousand dollars in cash.
Three suspects are facing charges, including a 26-year-old Indiana man and two 21-year-old women. None of their names were released and police do not say which suspects will be charged or what the charges will be.
