At Monday night’s Indiana School Board virtual meeting, board members approved the ICTC budget for the next school year.
The budget comes to $6,973,029 and it represents an increase of 2.56% over last year’s budget. How much the Indiana School District would have to pay depends on the number of students attending. ICTC Principal Michael McDermitt talked about why the budget saw an increase.
In other business, the board tabled a motion to award an HVAC contract for the East Pike entrance project, as the bids came in over budget once again. The board will take some additional time to consider the bids. The board did approve the four contractors for the high school’s Life Skills Classroom/Chairlift project. The general contractor will be Jeemco Inc. out of Pittsburgh for $133,420, Mashan communications and electric for the electrical contract at $41,500, Baer services out of Johnstown for the plumbing at $38,620 and Marc services of Windber for the HVAC at $42,700.
