The two former Pitt basketball guards who entered the NCAA transfer portal after the season ended have announced their new schools. Trey McGowens announced on Twitter on Saturday that he will transfer to Nebraska. He’ll sit out next season and have two years of eligibility remaining.
Ryan Murphy is headed to Louisiana to play at Tulane. He made his announcement on Twitter on Friday. Murphy started twelve games, but saw his playing time drop after suffering a concussion.
The Duke Blue Devils got their guy after all. 6-10 graduate transfer Patrick Tape committed to Duke, de-committed and reopened his recruitment, and then yesterday re-committed to Duke. He averaged 11.3 points for Columbia two years ago but sat out this season with a toe injury.
