Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas have many criminal call hearings on the docket today, including one for a man from Dixonville who is facing charges from an incident in October of last year.
Court documents show that 20-year-old Christopher Anthony Dilts will be at the Indiana County Courthouse for the Criminal Call session. He is charged with two counts each of aggravated and simple assault and single counts of resisting arrest and evading arrest or detention on foot. The charges were filed for an incident on October 17th of 2022.
Dilts has another case in the Indiana County Court System as he is awaiting sentencing on a guilty plea to a charge of burglary for an incident on May 6th of 2022. State police at the time said that Dilts forced his way into the Dixonville Food n Gas store on Route 403 at 9:46 PM by smashing a side window. Once inside, he stole over $3800 in cigarettes and vaping devices. All went well until he went back at 10:38 PM to retrieve the item he used to break the windows, remaining in the store for about 20 seconds before the burglar alarm activated. The sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 27th at 8:30 AM in front of Judge Michael T. Clark.
