The Steelers newly-signed tight end, Erik Ebron, held an introductory conference call yesterday and said he’s excited to come to Pittsburgh, even though he’s never met with team officials in person and never visited the team’s facilities.
Ebron has 27 career touchdown catches in six seasons…four with Detroit and the last two with Indianapolis.
He explained why he decided the Steelers were the right choice for him.
Ebron said he is ready to go to work with Ben Roethlisberger.
Ebron’s two-year contract became official on Monday. Limited by an ankle injury, he had 31 catches for 375 yards and two touchdowns in eleven games last year. In 2018, he caught 66 passes for thirteen touchdowns.
