Gas prices in our area and across Pennsylvania continue to drop.
The statewide average cost of regular gasoline is $2.20 a gallon, which represents a drop of 11 cents over the last week and 43 cents over the last month. Triple A is anticipating gas prices could go even lower as Coronavirus continues to effect the global economy, but the drop in prices is also being attributed to a crude oil price war between Saudi Arabia and Russia.
In Indiana County, the average cost of a gallon of gas is $2.23. In Indiana Borough and White Township, gas prices are now at $2.19 a gallon. In Homer City, gas prices are at $2.25 at both the Sheetz and Quikfill, and the same can be said for the Blairsville Sheetz locations and Accent Quik Mart. In Clymer, gas prices range from $2.14 at Sheetz to $2.19 at Kwik-fill.
For our surrounding counties, Jefferson County’s average is the lowest at $2.21 a gallon, Clearfield has a $2.22 a gallon average, Cambria’s average is $2.26, Armstrong has a $2.27 a gallon average, and Westmoreland County is the highest in the region at $2.28 a gallon.
