As part of the on-going effort to limit the spread of COVID-19, IUP announced the closing of the Stapleton Library on Friday.
While the building may be closed, students can still use electronic services through the virtual library. Library assistance can be utilized through chat, email, telephone reference and research support options.
Users can also send downloaded articles and loaning items from IUP’s digital collections to libraries across the nation.
IUP also tells students that if they need direct and immediate access to a computer and the internet, they can utilize the Ruddock Hall computer laboratory which opens today and will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Additionally, any students needing access to academic buildings will be restricted beginning at noon today. University employees that need to gather belongings from these buildings are asked to do so before noon.
Certain facilities will remain open for the time being. Those facilities include:
- Limited residential spaces in Ruddock Hall for students remaining in university housing.
- The Hadley Union Building food court for meal pick-up from 7 – 9 a.m., 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and 4 – 6:30 p.m.
- The Health Service in Suites on Maple East which is open from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Friday.
