The state game commission is investigating a case of deer poaching in Eastern Indiana County.
According to a post on their Facebook page, the incident happened near the intersection of Nolo and Laurel Run Roads in Pine Township. Investigators say that the deer that was shot was a piebald white-tailed deer and was likely shot late last weekend.
The Game commission reminds everyone that even during the Covid-19 outbreak, game wardens are still on duty and it is still illegal to shoot game or wildlife, as all state laws, seasons and bag limits remain in effect. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the PA Game Commission’s Southwest Region Office at 724-238-9523 or the Operation Game Thief hotline at 1-888-PGC-8001.
