A power outage affected traffic on one of Indiana County’s major highways, Route 119, in the Homer City area Monday morning.
The outage was originally reported around 10:00 AM. Penelec officials as of 1 p.m. say the cause of the outage was due to equipment failure.
Crews are still on the scene as they make repairs to the equipment. The outage knocked out power to over 400 Penelec customers in the area, and to the traffic light on Route 119 at the intersection with Route 56.
As of right now, there’s no estimate on when the fix will be finished.
