Indiana Borough Police were called out to a death investigation in the borough Thursday night.
The investigation was started at 9:15 PM as members of the borough police department were called out to a home in the 1400 block of Philadelphia Street. Police say that the death was not related to a health condition or to the IUPatty’s weekend event. Police were assisted by the county sheriff’s department, the coroner’s office and citizen’s ambulance service.
The victim’s name has not been released, and police say they will not release any other information. They did say that even though officers were on-scene for an extended period of time, there was never a risk to public health.
