Edward “Mixie” Chronowski, Sr., 83, of McIntyre, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020, at his residence.
He was born in 1936, in McIntyre, to the late Jacob and Alice (Press) Chronowski.
Ed was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, Life Member of VFW Post 1989, American Legion Post 493, the C&Y Sportsman’s Club and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA).
Mixie proudly served in the United States Marine Corp and the United States Army as a paratrooper. He enjoyed hunting and building aircraft, completing five ultralights, and one helicopter.
Ed is survived by his wife – Jane (Duffalo) Chronowski; children – Donna (Ron) Yvanek of Indiana; Connie (Roy) Parlog, of Irwin; Carol Nicely of Greensburg; Sandy (Roger) Rumbaugh of Florida; grandchildren – Gregory, Shannon, Elizabeth, Megan, Michael and Edward III; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters – Betty Fancella, Florence Andrews; brothers – Jake and Rich “Stock” Chronowski, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mixie was preceded in death by his son Edward Thomas Chronowski, Jr. on January 21, 2020, an infant son Thomas Edward Chronowski in 1959, as well as seven brothers and sisters.
There will be no public visitation. Private burial will occur at St. Bernard’s Cemetery. A public funeral mass will be held and announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana.
