G. Arlene Schreckengost, 79, Homer City, died Tuesday, March 17, 2020, while at UPMC East, Monroeville.
The daughter of Clair and Goldie (Ashbaugh) Deemer, she was born August 31, 1940 in Salina, PA.
Arlene will be remembered as a loving, wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved to cook and care for her family.
Surviving are her children, James Jr., Homer City, Sally Schreckengost, Indiana, and Erik along with his wife Annoria, Brookville; grandchildren, Isaiah, Quinton, Mariska, and Maya Schreckengost, Brookville.
Preceding Arlene in death were her parents; husband James, who died March 5, 1918; sisters, Pauline Mendaloff and Helen Morton; and a brother, Dwight Deemer.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. Funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Rev. Micah McMillen, officiating.
Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private.
