A preliminary hearing is set for a Blairsville man accused of sending sexually explicit pictures on social media to a Derry Township girl.
19-year-old Nash P. Bennett was charged by state police with corruption of minors, criminal use of a communications facility, photographing sex acts on a computer and unlawful contact with a minor for a series of incidents between August and November of 2018 when Bennett allegedly sent the explicit photos to a 15-year-old girl over Facebook, and asked her for sexually explicit photos of her in return. Troopers were able to retrieve the illicit messages from the victim’s Facebook account.
Bennett was arraigned in front of District Judge Mark Billik in Derry and released on $20,000 unsecured bond. The preliminary hearing will be held on April 1st.
