The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board has made it clear for establishments during the Covid-19 outbreak: If you allow people to sit down at your place to eat or drink, you will be cited.
In a news release from the PLCB, they are saying that all retail licensees, clubs, permitees and producers have to stop with on-site sales for on-premises consumption until further notice. Any licensee that does not comply risks citation from the PLCB and suspension of their license. If the licensee continues to operate after the suspended, they risk further enforcement and possible closure from the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement. Board chairman Tim Holden said that while the decision is not made lightly, it was made with the idea of keeping everyone safe and healthy.
The PLCB will continue to re-evaluate the policy and they will lift those restrictions at an appropriate time.
