POLICE REPORTS: THEFT, BURGLARY, ASSAULT

PSP-INDIANA

State Police are reporting the theft of a lawn decoration in Clymer.  Police say that between 6 PM on October 24^th and 5:30 PM on October 26^th, an unknown thief or thieves were able to steal a white Angel statue off the front lawn of the home of 72-year-old Anna Krouse on Franklin Street in Clymer.  Police want you to talk with them if you have any information on the theft and you can call them at 724-357-1960.

An Indiana man is the victim of identity theft.  State Police say this started around October 16^th, as someone stole the bank card information of a 62-year-old Indiana Man and used it to charge $150.99 to the account.  Investigation is continuing.

INDIANA BOROUGH

Indiana Borough Police have charged a Freeport man with criminal mischief and criminal trespass.  Police say just after midnight this morning, they were called out to the 1100 block of Grant Street for a burglary in progress.  Upon arrival, they found 21-year-old Thomas McCarthy of Freeport in the apartment that did not belong to him.  McCarthy was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespassing and criminal mischief.  He was taken to Indiana County Jail where he was arraigned in front of District Judge Susanne Steffee.

PSP-GREENSBURG

State Police in Greensburg have charged a Latrobe man with aggravated assault and a warrant is now out for his arrest.  Police say on October 25^th around 2:20 PM, 32-year-old Kevin William Cole was at the Derry Townshouses in Latrobe and assaulted 61-year-old Timothy Andrews of Greensburg and 19-year-old Alyssa Farabaugh of Greensburg, causing serious injuries.  Cole then fled the scene in a black Town and Country minivan.  Police say he is a white man, 32-years-old, Five feet 11 inches tall, weighs 225 pounds and has a shaved head.  If you have any information on his wherabouts, call 724-832-3288.

Police have recovered a stolen vehicle in Derry Township.  Few details are available on the recovery, but we know that it happened on October 26^th at 11:53 AM.  The vehicle was found on Brennan Avenue in Derry Township.
