From Coral Graceton FD:
After consultation with our membership and under the recommendation of our County Fire Chief’s Association, we have decided to cancel this month’s Hoagie Sale that was scheduled for this weekend.
While our hoagies are considered a takeout food and would be permitted to be served, many of our volunteers participate in the assembly process. If the normal amount of our volunteers were present to assemble hoagies, we would be over the recommended number of people in one gathering. We would not be practicing good social distancing as is required to stop this outbreak.
We do not reach the decision to cancel fundraisers lightly, considering they’re our main source of income. However, in an unpredictable situation such as this, we will always place the safety of our volunteers and patrons above profits.
