Firefighters were summoned to a double-wide mobile home ablaze at 177 Maple Street in White Township at 6:28 this morning.
Indiana volunteers were dispatched first, and Homer City and Clymer firefighters were called for at 6:48. Black Lick was placed on standby.
When crews arrived on the scene, Dave Smith of the Indiana Fire Association said that heavy fire was seen coming out of the structure when they got there, and it took about twenty minutes to knock down. The home was gutted, with fire causing heavy damage to one end. The fire also caused external damage to a detached garage.
