PSP-GREENSBURG
State police in Greensburg say at least two people were injured in an ATV crash over the weekend. This was near Brennan Avenue in Derry Township. Police say that 19-year-old Brandon White of Loyalhanna was going through a right curve when the ATV went off the south side of the road and hit a utility pole. The ATV rolled onto its passenger side and spun out. White was flown to UPMC Presbyterian for treatment of unknown injuries, while a passenger, 19-year-old William Friedline of Blairsville, was taken to Latrobe hospital. It’s not known second passenger, Kerek Hoffman of Latrobe, was injured in the crash.
State Police say no one was injured in a motorcycle crash on Pizza Barn Road in Derry Township. Police say on October 19th, 38-year-old Daniel Banocy of New Derry was driving his motorcycle south on Pizza Barn Road when a deer came from the field on the left side of the road. The bike hit the deer, and Banocy laid the bike down on its side and slid about five feet before coming to final rest.
A Derry Township Woman is facing charges of simple assault and harassment in connection with a case on October 18th. State Police say around 2:30 in the morning, a domestic violence incident was investigated, and troopers say the victim, a 29-year-old man, was hit and kicked multiple times by 31-year-old Tiffany Tryon, and she smashed his cell phone as well. Tryon also faces a charge of criminal mischief.
INDIANA BOROUGH
Indiana Borough Police are continuing to investigate a bike theft that happened over the weekend. The theft happened as the bike was chained to a street sign post in the 100 block of South 7th Street. This happened between 2:45 PM on October 21st and 5 PM on the 22nd.
